Metabolic care has advanced. Chronic inflammation remains.

The research is increasingly pointing to one overlooked driver: endotoxin (LPS) and the functional health of the gut microbiome.

One driver keeps surfacing beneath the symptoms.

The Trigger LPS

Lipopolysaccharide — bacterial endotoxin — is emerging in the literature as a primary trigger of chronic, low-grade inflammation in metabolic disease.

The Chain
LPS → Gut Barrier → Insulin Resistance

A compromised gut barrier lets endotoxin translocate, feeding the inflammatory cascade that sustains insulin resistance.

The Intervention
Targeted multi-strain probiotic

Shown in BiotiQuest's published research to reduce endotoxin burden by restoring microbial function and barrier integrity.

A compromised gut barrier allows bacterial endotoxin (LPS) to enter circulation, fueling chronic inflammation and insulin resistance.

What you'll leave with

Five concrete takeaways for the clinic — grounded in mechanism and evidence, not theory.

Is this worth your time?

One clinical story, built from mechanism to application. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of why endotoxin (LPS) has emerged as an important metabolic target—and practical strategies you can begin using with patients immediately.

7:00

The clinical challenge

Why chronic inflammation, insulin resistance, and gastrointestinal dysfunction often persist—even when conventional therapies improve blood sugar and weight.

7:15

Endotoxin (LPS): the missing link

How microbial function, gut barrier integrity, and bacterial endotoxins interact to drive systemic inflammation and metabolic dysfunction.

7:40

What the published research shows

A review of the clinical evidence evaluating a targeted multi-strain probiotic designed to reduce endotoxin burden and support metabolic health.

8:05

Clinical implementation

Practical strategies for supporting gut barrier health, reducing endotoxin exposure, and managing GLP-1–associated constipation in clinical practice.

Inspired by her husband's diagnosis with young-onset Parkinson's disease, she has spent more than two decades researching the role of the gut microbiome in chronic disease. Her work has led to multiple peer-reviewed publications, patented probiotic technologies, and clinical research in metabolic, neurological, and gut health. Martha has presented at the White House Microbiome Initiative, TEDx, and leading scientific and medical conferences, and is a Research Fellow with Professor Barry W.
